My son Odin has NO FEAR...it has always been this way...he is not afraid of heights and he is not afraid of being in something and having that something closed on him...not claustrophobic at all...which is really scary...we have to keep a good eye on this little terror since nothing terrors him...
it all started at a young age and it started out with the obsession of climbing and always climbing higher and higher...no matter how we moved stuff-so he couldn't climb-he would just move what he could find and build what ever he could to be able to climb...
can't blame him for being creative...A bicycle seat is not for your butt but for your feet so you can stand on it and climb higher...what a goof...This picture was taken 06-03-2008 (he was just over a year old)
it then progressed into climbing through things...he figured if his head could fit through something then by darn he would make the rest of his body fit through...
again can't blame him for being creative and determined....
This time his head did fit through but the rest of his body didn't...when he started crying because he was stuck-like a good mom that I am I got the camera and took pictures before helping him out...I then moved the basket of shoes over a little because Odin-being the stubborn child that he is-would not give up until he made it through...so I made it a little easier....And I am sure you remember the dogie door at Grandparent Memmotts...Odin thinks if his head fits through something then the rest of his body will...he still climbs through the dogie door and he is 2 and half years old...
and now it has progressed into climbing in things with doors and closing himself in...
so yet again can't blame him for being creative, determined and having NO FEAR....
This photo he had to be in the toy box to play with his toys...at least this time he couldn't close the lid of the container...photo taken 06-24-2008... These two pictures were taken at my moms house...my sister Brooke was going through her stuff in the garage and cleaning up and she emptied this container and of course Odin had to climb in and close the lid...he is such a goof ball...And who can forget the mailboxes...again he will stay in these mailboxes for almost an hour...I have to bribe him to get him out and to come home...and he does close the door of the mailboxes too... This video below is the latest of Odin's "NO FEAR"...
He was at Nana's house (my mom's) and went into the garage with her and decided to climb in her freezer...which was fine until he decided he wanted the door closed...so Nana told him "NO"
I promise we do tell him No! and he did not like that at all...so my sister grabbed her phone and took this video of him tattling on Nana telling him No and why he got told No and when he tried to close the door again to show Aunt Brookie why Nana said No Aunt Brookie told him No...and again the crying started...
This video was at my moms house also...Chuck was out of town and so we spent the weekend at my moms house...This is in her bedroom and she has their t.v. on top and then in the cupboards are clothes and blankets...so Odin decided he would climb in the bottom cupboard of her t.v. stand...on the bottom shelf is a basket of socks...so when Odin would climb in and try to pull his side of the door closed the basket would push the other door open...so he would climb out-push the basket back in-close that door-then climb back in and try to close his door...but the basket and him could not both fit in and have both doors closed...he wouldn't give up...so the process went on over and over again for about 30 minutes...my mom and I were laughing so hard and trying to be quiet and it was hilarious...such a stubborn boy and again
NO FEAR!!!!
