We love going to the Washington County Fair...it is our time for the family to be completely REDNECK and have it be normal...any other time people think we are crazy...and that is true but at the fair we blend right in...hee hee...
So we usually just make a Saturday of it...we go to some of the shows and walk the booths and then save seats for the Demolition Derby and wait for it to start...
We had a good time...Odin really liked walking around and they had a bouncy house and a bouncy slide there and Odin pretty much suckered everyone into taking him over to go down the slide...My Mom took him over first and he loved it (of course) and then when she came back to us she had him in her arms and he was pointing back at the slide to go back...when she said no he went over to My Dad and said "Papa Ide Pease" (Papa Slide Please) and it took My Dad about 3 times to figure out what he was saying and of course My Dad couldn't tell him No-so off they went ...then after My Dad brought him back it was Aunt Brookies turn to take him...it was really cute and funny to watch him get everyone he could to take him back to the slide...
Then that night I had Rebecca Garrett watch my two boys so we could enjoy the Demolition Derby...she was so excited to watch them...Odin calls her Nana Becca...she was such a sport taking them both like that...and she had helpers (Mark, Jessica, and Rick)...Odin really liked Mark and Rick...he would climb up and sit by them on the couch to watch movies...and he would tell them stories in his language (which again no one really understands but you just go with it)...and Cort does not take a bottle of formula at all...I have let him starve just to see if he would take it as a last resort and NOPE it doesn't work...so they really were troopers because he got hungry and it took us over an hour to get out of the parking lot...Jessica just had to hold him and walk around-no sitting down-and he finally cried himself to sleep about 20 minutes before we got there...I can never Thank them enough...at least they had a good time...
