Show me your MUSCLES

These two LOVE to show off their MUSCLES...they flex them all the time and tell me how long they have gotten and how big they are...they crack me up...

(P.S. We did finally take away Corts Binky...it took a couple nights of crying himself to sleep and sometimes he sees other kids with one and says Mine and tries to take it from them but so far he has been such a trooper.)

Stetson Cort Taylor

This little man is so content just hanging by himself...he wants to do everything himself and he finds his own toys to play with and finds his own space to play in...if there are other kids around he would rather be by himself playing then in with all the other kids...he is such a silly monkey and for the most part really easy going...he does have him moments that I want to kick his little butt for really it is hard to get mad at the little face of his...

I like BIG SHOES

The Boys are Fascinated with putting on our Shoes...they love daddies work boots and all the slippers and lately they have loved putting on my high heels because they make cool noises on the wood floor when they walk around...whatever keeps them happy...

Like Father, Like Son

I finally remembered to pull out Chucks Old Wrestling Uniforms and the boys LOVE putting them on...Cort doesn't put the whole thing on but he pulls the arms over his head and thinks he is pretty cool stuff...
I love seeing them run around in their daddies Wrestling stuff and when Chuck sees them in the uniforms his whole face just lights up...he is one PROUD Daddy...
now we will just wait and see if they actually wrestle when they get older...

Bunk Bed

Well the boys have a Bunk Bed now...I seriously posted about putting Cort in a Big Boy bed and the Black Eye then less then a Month later we had these Bunk Beds...so the pour kid went from a crib to a Big Boy bed to a REALLY BIG BOY BED...I put that stopper on his bed cause I was worried about him rolling off but ended up taking off with in a couple of days because him and his brother just used it as a toy to jump off of...go figure my Monkeys turning their new bed into some climbing and jumping toy...
I was a nervous wreck for the first week with Cort climbing up on top but I couldn't keep him off and then within two days he had figured out how to climb back down so I just tried to stop worrying...I know this will be where they get their first broken bone or stitches from but I can only do so much to prevent it...
It is going to be a tight fit with this bunk bed and a crib in there but we will make it work because that is the only choice we have...someday we may have a bigger house with a yard but really the thought of trying to sell our town home or rent it out and find another home causes me WAY too much anxiety so I just make due with what we have...
Funny little story too: When we got these beds is when I started yelling at Cort to "Get Down" and now he yells at everyone else to "Get Down" and it is so funny to hear so I am always telling him to yell at people to "Get Down"...he seriously cracks me up...
And I thought I was a nervous wreck about the boys climbing up and down the bunk bed and both being on top...I am NOTHING compared to Chuck...he stands in there and watches and is seriously going to have a heart attack...I tell him all the time to get out and stop watching them because he can't stop them and it just makes you more nervous if you watch them...I think he is so nervous about it because him and his brothers had bunk beds and were playing on the top one and his brother pushed him off and there were drawers underneath the bottom bunk that were pulled out and he cracked his head open on the drawer and needed stitches and has a good scar...but I have accepted that they will most likely get hurt somehow someday on these beds and I just have to be ready for it...

Tattoos

I came home from grocery shopping and went to put the boys in a bath and got Corts clothes off and his Daddy had put a Tattoo on him...It was so funny and shocking...
I guess while I was gone Chuck saw them on the counter and asked Odin if he wanted one but Odin was in a bad mood so Chuck took Corts shirt off and put it on him then put his shirt back on so I wouldn't know until I got him undressed...it was pretty funny...and then of course Odin wanted one too but he thought it was a sticker and wanted us to take the one off of Cort and put it on him...it took a while of explaining that we couldn't do that and he finally settled for the other two we had and he wanted them on his hands like his daddy had put his...such silly monsters...next time we will put it on Cort where he can see it so we can laugh at him trying to get it off...

WEEKS 29-32 (Month 7)

Baby’s energy is surging, thanks to the formation of white fat deposits beneath the skin. (Have those kicks and jabs to the ribs tipped you off yet?) Baby is also settling into sleep and waking cycles, though -- as you’ve also probably noticed -- they don’t necessarily coincide with your own. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments.

I cannot believe how far along I am...this seems to be going by so fast and I am not sure that I am ready for 3 kids but I know I don't have a choice...
most days I am really excited to see him and hold him and love him but somedays I am ready to kill the two I have and wonder what am I going to do with 3...
I also have those times of worry when both Odin and Cort want me to hold them and love them and I wonder how am I going to be able to do this when I have a new baby that needs me...I am such a worry wart and I am constantly worring about having enough love for all 3 of my kids and my husband and everyone else and having time to clean the house and feed the boys and do the laundry and dishes and sleep and when most people worry about this they can at least be reassured that at the end of the day their husband will be home to help them and give them a break but I don't get that piece of mind...the only help I get is over the phone when he tells me it will be fine and he loves me and that I can do anything...
I know as the time clicks closer to this baby coming it is also clicking closer to the time he has to leave over seas and I hate that thought...I am always just putting on a smile and telling everyone I am fine and then I go home and lay in bed and cry...I know what I married into but sometimes it just sucks to have to give him up for the safety and freedom of others...and I hate it when he tells me he is having a hard time because I just want to fix it all and take everything away and make everyone happy and I know it is impossible...
I do know that we will make it through this all I just have to vent somedays...I worry a lot about the boys and them asking where their daddy is and how I will have to explain that he is far away keeping us safe from bad people and when they cry for their daddy how I will have to handle that moment...Again sorry to vent like this I am usually one of those people who hate to complain because I know there are a lot of people out there worse off then me and I could always have it worse off too...so I will stop now for a minute...

This little man in me is for sure moving around A LOT!!!! and yes I did find out it is a boy...as you may remember I don't like to know what I am having but Chuck as to know and this time he decided to play around with people and tell them different stuff but when he sold his truck to this family he told them we were having another boy and when I got home and was talking to the wife she told me and when they left I said to Chuck "So we are having another boy huh?" and his face went white and he said "I didn't think you would talk to her" so I knew he wasn't lying...I have thought boy all along but there was always that chance of it maybe being a girl...it is ok I am happy with my boys now we just have to agree on a name for sure and hope that he comes out looking like that name will fit...I must say that I enjoy NOT knowing a lot more then knowing...I hate knowing what I am having but to late now...the surprise now will just have to be what he looks like...will he look like his brothers or his own little man?

Halloween 2010

(Our little Kangaroo and the Mighty Spider Man)

Halloween this year was pretty fun...it was the first year that Odin really got the concept...last year Cort was just a baby and we pushed him in a stroller and Odin would just walk into peoples houses when they opened the door (thank goodness we only go to ward memebers houses)...so this year was fun because Odin practiced knocking on the door and saying Trick-or-Treat and he is a little man after my own heart and LOVES candy and Cort was old enough to walk around and copy his brother and just be the cute boy that he is...Chuck was working out of town and wouldn't be home until Sunday so he didn't get to go with us but my sister Brooke stopped by the house and was SO KIND to stick around and help me take the boys around...We laughed the whole time...of course Odin got shy and wouldn't say Trick-or-Treat and Cort was so happy to be outside that every ghost, pumpkin, green grass, really anything made him stop and point...so what should have taken maybe an hour to go around our ward members houses took 2 hours...
and this year Cort was the one who just walked into peoples houses...I wish I had taken the cam-cord instead of the camera because Cort thought he was so smart and he would get candy from them then turn around walk a few steps away then turn back around and walk up the the people again like he was a new person just so he could get more candy...and of course everyone gave in because he was so dang cute about it...Brooke and I have never laughed so hard watching these two Trick-or-Treat...it was A LOT of fun...
Now Odin thinks that he needs to wear his SpiderMan costume all the time and go Trick-or-Treating so we have to explain to him all the time that we only do that once a year...

Since Chuck wasn't home on Saturday I didn't go to any family members homes and Chuck took them on Sunday to his parents house to Trick-or-Treat...this is Uncle Bobby answering the door when we knocked...I told Odin to say "Give me all your Candy" instead of Trick-or-Treat...the only problem is that backfired and Grandma and Grandpa Taylor let them have all the candy they wanted...I guess that is what Grandparents are for :)

Making Memories

Whenever Chuck is home for a couple of days to visit I am always trying to think of something fun to do as a family so the boys will have lots of memories of fun times with Dad instead of him always being away for work...so this time I thought it would be fun to make some cookies with the play-dough cookie dough I got from my Moms Alison Pantry...this was a Big deal for me because I don't do good with messy ideas but Odin LOVED every minute of it so it was well worth it...Cort on the other hand did not have so much fun...We kept trying to get him to stand up on the chair so he could reach stuff and see what he was doing but he just kept sitting back down and then would be mad because he couldn't do anything...so we finally gave up with him and put him down for a nap...

After we were done and I was cleaning up and baking the cookies this is what Odin and Chuck did...SLEEP...oh how I wish I could have joined them but that didn't happen...oh well at least I know they had fun and were tired afterwords...I love making Memories with my Boys...

Aunt Brookie bought the boys these WAY CUTE Orange ties from the store Tie One On in the mall and they wore them to church everyday in October...it was hard to get a picture of Cort because he acts just like his Father and when I try to take his picture he runs off screaming NO and hides...I hope I can get him to stop doing that because it is bad enough to listen to Chuck complain about pictures I don't want there to be 2 of them complaining...

WEEKS 25-28 (Month 6)

Your Baby: Month 6

Let your spouse put an ear to your belly -- he might be able to pick up baby's heartbeat (no stethoscope required). Inside the womb, the formation of tiny capillaries is giving baby a healthy pink glow. Baby's also soaking up your antibodies, getting the immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and baby will soon perfect the blink -- perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

The Whole Taylor Family...

It is such a RARE occasion that we get ALL of Chucks family together...we were missing the newest addition to the family and that was Devon and that sucked but to have all the Taylor Siblings and all the Taylor Grandkids was way cool...I don't think we have ever had all the Taylor Grandkids together...I didn't get to spend much time with them because I was feeling sick with pregnancy and all (go figure) but the time I did get to spend with them was a lot of fun and Odin and Cort playing with their cousins was WAY fun...

(My Chuck and Father-in-Law Chuck hanging in the kitchen with Heather)

(My Mother-in-Law April, Gary and Chuck watching the kids swim in the pool)

(Random photos of us hanging out...Cort loves sitting on Grandpa Taylors foot massager...that thing is way powerful and he will just sit on it Forever)

All of the Taylor Siblings: (Left to Right) Bobby, Christina, Heather, Gary, and Chuck. You notice the girls are always in a pose and ready for the camera to click...the boys not so much it takes a ton of picture snaps to get them all acting somewhat normal...but we love them all anyway

(Yes that is my kids naked butt in these pool pictures...we didn't send over a swimsuit but of course he had to get in with his cousins so they told him to strip down to his underwear and he didn't want to get them wet so he went naked...from what everyone told me Odin was quite proud to be naked in the pool...and from what I hear it was fun for all the kids until Odin decided to drop a log of poop in the pool then swimming was all done...I guess it was fun while it lasted)

The Taylor Family: All the kids with their Parents

The Whole Taylor Gang...I wanted to get a picture of all the Grandkids by themselves but Odin got his feelings hurt then fell asleep and woke up not so happy so we weren't able to take one but it was still so nice to have a picture of all of us (minus Devon-maybe we will get him next time)

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

It is nice to see that Odin can share with is brother once in a while...these two kill me and each other most of the time...but they do have their moments of LOVE...

Almost every day that Odin had school we would stop at my Moms work to show her the picture he colored that day and get a DumDum sucker from her...He loved going to Nanas work after school...but now my Mom works a 9-5 job at a Doctors office and we don't get to do that anymore so I had to get pictures of Odin getting his sucker from his Nana one last time...and Grandma and Grandpa Memmott were there visiting my mom so he got to show them his picture that day too...
We Miss seeing Nana after school but we are so happy she has such a good job in these hard times...

One Last Ride

One of Odin's Favorite things is to get a ride to school in his Daddy's Truck when Chuck is home to take him...but Chuck officially sold his truck so we had to get a picture of Odin riding to school in Daddy's Truck one last time...
Now Chuck has a brand new car and whenever Odin rides in the new car he says "Mommy's car is Ewww...I like Daddy's car." ... now isn't that so sweet of him...sorry my car doesn't smell brand new and has all this kid stuff in it...I didn't realize that makes my car Ewww...

Promotion

This fine husband of mine was promoted in the Army back on September 17, 2010 and so of course me and the boys loaded up early in the morning and headed to Cedar to be there for his promotion...
The last time he was promoted he didn't know he was getting it until he showed up for his guard weekend so we missed that one and we don't know if we will see the next one or if there will be more so we had to jump on the opportunity to be there and help present him with the promotion...
I didn't ask anyone to take a picture of us with him but when they called him up the boys and I joined him and we took the old rank off and put on the new one...
Odin loved seeing his daddy up there and all the other men in uniform...he loves all those Army Guys out there and loves when he sees them in Uniform...I think he will always be one proud little boy of his Daddy...

Let Me Out

(Odin is by his brother but you can't see him pass Corts body)

I kept hearing these funny noises coming from the boys bedroom and I could hear them laughing hysterically so of course I am thinking this can't be good...
I go in their room and they have pulled back the blinds and are sitting on the toy boxes looking outside...
Nothing bad they just wanted to see what it looks like outside since I RARELY let them out of the house...I don't have the energy to chase them and we live in Town homes right where all the cars pull in and have no yard so I can't just open the door and say go have fun...
Someday it is a dream of mine to have a home with a back yard that I can just let them play in...until then they are stuck...

Views From the Couch

For the most part the boys behave pretty good when I am tooooo tired or toooooo sick to get off the couch...I see them do the funniest stuff while I am laying there half dead and so I finally grabbed the camera so I could try and catch some of the crazy things they do but of course once I have the camera they act somewhat normal...
Odin would hide under this blanket on the chair and say he was hiding from Baby (which is what he calls his brother Cort) and of course Cort would be playing in his own world and didn't even know or care that he should be looking for Odin...
