Month of July-2011

Catch up for the Month of July 2011

Liam and Cort just chillin'-when ever I take a picture of Liam either Odin or Cort or both are right there asking for their picture to be taken...this time is was Cort.

My Little Man Liam...I just can't get enough of this kid...my favorite is the one of him cross eyed looking at his toy...so funny...

We had a 4Th of July party at my in laws and it was so much fun...lots of family time with family we hardly get to see...Chucks cousin Crystal brought her two girls and they live in Oregon and it was so fun to spend time with them....

My Crazy Family...it was my Moms Birthday on the 10Th so we all had some cake but before we ate the cake we all took a picture of the "Creepy Cat" (as my sister Brooke calls it) and sent the picture to her on her mission letting her know that the "Creepy Cat" blew out the candles for her...her birthday was on the 28Th...

Odin and Liam just hanging out...

The boys got their pillows in the mail from a company called "Sweet Dreams Pillows" and what they do is you send a picture of your child and their parent in uniform or what ever picture you want and they put it on a pillow for the kids to have so they always have their service member parent with them...they do this all for free and if you can pay the shipping and handling and donate money they will take it but if not no pressure...the boys were so excited to get them...they sleep with them every night and I catch Cort talking to his a lot and it is so cute...

Their favorite pass time-blowing bubbles...so we went out to the grass and enjoyed the nice day.

Chuck was flying into Vegas for a few days before he shipped out over seas...I didn't tell the boys what we were doing at the airport, I just told them that we were going on a fun trip and that we were there to see some planes come in...so this is them watching the planes coming in...it would have been more exciting if Chucks flight came in earlier then 11 PM Vegas time but we were so happy to see him...

I wanted to make those few days of him being home memorable so the boys would remember the happy moments and not the sad moment of saying goodbye to their daddy again so I booked us a weekend at "The Golden Nugget" so that we could all swim with the sharks and fish...the boys LOVED it...we had so much fun...

We had to take Chuck back to the Vegas Airport early Monday morning so we did our fireworks with him on Sunday night so that the boys could have fun doing the fireworks with their daddy...
make sure you check out Corts outfit...the kid kills me, he is so funny.

We had to try and take some self portraits of us as a family before Chuck got on his plane...it took us a few tries but we got one with all of us in it...hee hee...the boys were so strong this time saying goodbye...me on the other hand bawled like a baby-again.

This is the boys telling their Aunt Brookie Happy Birthday...and then we sent her the photos on her mission...the last one is them making silly faces...these boys crack me up.

Blakes First Birthday

June 11th-June 12th, 2011

My little nephew Blake Turns ONE!!!!

So my Mom, the Boys and I loaded up and headed to Kingman to celebrate his birthday.
This was the morning of the birthday party and my brother Brandon went out to mow the lawns and clean up the yard...the boys stood at the window and the door and watched his every move...it was so funny and so cute...

Mr. Blake in his Cowboy Outfit he got for his birthday...he got new boots and everything...but he did not want to take the binky out for pictures...hee hee...

The Trampoline seemed to be where everyone ended up and it was quite funny to watch them all...

Brandon took Leland and Odin to Home Depot earlier in the day to buy the stuff to put up this flag for Chuck....it turned out really nice...

The next morning just hanging out until it is time to go on home....so fun to hang out with the cousins in Kingman...we love them so much!!!!

Just Chillin'

June 6th, 2011

Little Man Liam chillin in his Bumbo seat in the bathroom while I give his big brothers a bath...
I can't get enough of this little man...I kiss him all day long....

One of the Hardest Days of My Life....

June 4th, 2011

Well as much as I lived in my little world of denial and hoped this day never came it did...I really didn't think it would be much different then the other two times but it was a Completely different experience with kids having to say goodbye for so long...
We all cried so much we were exhausted by the end...
and again I am so Thankful for all the family support and love and for the many people snapping pictures so we could have these memories and moments forever...
Thanks so much!!!

These were pictures of the drive coming into the airport...I love all the flags and all the people who came to say goodbye to their soldiers and loved ones...

These are photos of us all waiting and getting in as much time before Chuck has to get on the plane....

These were the signs made by our family showing their love and support for Chuck and the other soldiers...aren't they all so cute...

This is pictures of My Car, My Moms and My Aunt Hopes...

They called the guys over for Formation and then the Chaplain said a Final Prayer and we were givin the 5 minute goodbye warning...

It was the hardest thing watching him leave formation and walk towards us knowing that we only had 5 more minutes to say our goodbyes and give our hugs....

Odin had the Hardest time...he kept saying "I don't want to tell my Daddy goodbye." He thought that if he didn't tell his Daddy goodbye then his Daddy wouldn't have to get on the plane...It broke Chucks heart that Odin wouldn't give him a hug or say goodbye or anything...and it was heartbreaking to watch it all happen and not be able to make it all better...as a Mom and a Wife I wanted to make everything OK and I couldn't do anything this time but give hugs and love them both...
Even my Mom who Odin loves so much couldn't do anything to make it better for him...People all around us just stopped in their footsteps and watched in heartache as Odin cried and cried...it was absolutely heart wrenching and I cry every time I talk about it or think about it...

The rest of the family got their hugs in and goodbyes...

And then Chuck had to leave to go back to formation and we all lined up to see him walk to the plane...we got separated from Chucks parents and they had Cort and I started having a panic attack cause I didn't know where they were and I wanted to make sure Chuck saw us all one more time and that Cort saw his Daddy so my mom ran and found him and brought him to me and we watched for Daddy to come our way...Once we saw him I was able to get one last kiss and then he was gone to the plane...

We all just stood there and watched until we couldn't see the plane anymore...it was one of the most emotional and hardest days ever...

These two pictures of my grandparents are so touching and capture their worry...they have 4 grandsons total (including Chuck) in the Military and they worry like this every time they have to say good bye to one of them...

This was a quote on a friend of mines shirt and her husband left with my hubby also and I LOVE IT!!!

I do not wear tags or boots on my feet
I have never shot a gun or endured Iraq's heat

I don't wear a uniform or rise early for PT
I won't ever get promoted and I don't eat M.R.E.'s

I do, however, wear a ring on the left,
The one that he gave me, the day I said yes

I vowed that day, to stand by his side
While he fights for our freedom with honor and pride.

I promised to care for our kids and our home
I knew there'd be times when I'd sleep all alone

But that is okay, I chose this life
I take pride in being a soldier's wife.

Taylor Family Pictures

June 3rd, 2011

With Chuck leaving for at least a year I wanted to get some family pictures with him in his uniform...I wanted to make as many memories as I could and have as many pictures as I could...I wanted the boys to have something to look at and remember him everyday and all the fun Daddy is...So the day before he shipped out (cause I always wait until last minute to get things done) I had my Aunt Hope come snap some pictures of us and she did a GREAT JOB!!!!

I love getting photos of us kissing our kids on the cheeks...I have so many and LOVE them and can't wait to put them all together for the boys as they grow up...

Our Crazy Family...I know it is pretty impossible to get everyone looking at the camera with a 4 year old, 2 year old and new born but I just wanted to capture the craziness of our little family and that is what Aunt Hope caught.

While we would wait to set up another picture or wait for the boys to be looking at the camera my Aunt Hope was snapping random pictures of Chucks uniform and of him and I LOVE them ALL...it was such a good idea on her part....Thanks Aunt Hope for always being so willing to snap pictures of my family...I don't know what we would do without you...LOVE YOU!!!
