20 WEEKS!!! Half way there

Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. And, speaking of the diaper situation... baby's genitals are now fully formed!

Well we had our ultrasound on Monday the 20th...I did not find out what we are having but the Tech was able to get the baby to move around so Chuck could see...I thought it would be easier this time since I have not found out with any of mine but it is harder...but I know if I find out I will be mad at myself so I will not ask...Chuck has told several people this time and he is loving playing games with all of their heads...he is telling them all something different so he is still keeping the secret and playing with everyone this time...he enjoys knowing way to much...
When the Tech was trying to get the baby to move she was shaking my belly and now Odin thinks it is funny to shake the baby...I am not sure I enjoy having my fat belly giggling but if it makes the boy laugh and it isn't in public I am ok with it all...Odin enjoyed seeing the baby on the tv and I loved watching his face in confusion and amazement...
I then had my Doctors Appointment on Wednesday the 22nd and the Doctor said everything on the ultrasound is good and everything is measuring good...I did do the Triple Blood Test Screen this time so we will find out if that comes back with anything next appointment...no worries there if it comes back abnormal it isn't anything I can change anyway but always good to do the test...
at the Ultrasound the Heart Rate was at 141 Beats per minute and at the Doctors Appointment the Heart Rate was at about 130 Beats per minute...Both are lower then what my other two were at (about 150) but the Doctor says it is fine...
I am definitely feeling the baby move...tonight while watching SpongeBob before the boys went to bed I could feel the little movements...I am sure it had nothing to do with Cort headbutting my belly...whatever works it got the baby to move for me...the movement is VERY VERY LOW in my belly-which isn't unusual for me because both the other boys were always Very Very Low in my belly...when the Doctor tries to find the heartbeat he has to go down pretty low on my belly to find it...
I am having more good days then bad days and not so sick all the time...which is a really big plus...so things are going good and will keep you posted...

19 WEEKS

Our Little Mango

Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might actually get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

Not much going on this week...we go in for our ultrasound tomorrow (Monday the 20th) and I am excited to see the baby move and know that everything is ok...and I told Odin about going to see the baby on TV and asked him if he wanted to sing and he very excitedly said Yes Mom Yes...so I can't wait to see what he thinks especially since it doesn't look like a baby on those TV screen...so we will see...

Pooped

This was Cort at the Peach Days Parade...he lasted about 20 minutes and then he was tired...

Odins New Smile

Odin has a new way of smiling when you ask him to do it for pictures or anything...these pictures do not capture how freaking hilarious it is...I will have to try and get video of it sometime...he is constantly doing and learning new stuff that just makes me laugh...he melts my heart...

(This is him getting ready to do the smile.)

(This is the smile. So Funny.)

(I finally asked him to do a smile where he shows his teeth and this is what I got...he seriously is so dang funny.)

Wow

This little man now has 3 Teeth on Top making that 5 Teeth total in his mouth...
and yes he is 16 1/2 months old...
we are hoping he gets all of his teeth by college but maybe not...

PreSchool

(Sorry my camera is taking blurry pictures lately...I guess it is time to pull out the big nice one if I am going to get any good pics.)

Well I did it...I put Odin in Preschool....
Chuck and I had decided to wait because we weren't sure...and school had started and we hadn't looked into any Preschools so we thought we would just wait...but then I got a message from my Friend Jane who worked at Early Childhood Learning and she said we could probably qualify to get him in for free or 30 dollars a month so then we thought why not try...and we qualified for the 30 dollars a month...so we did it...
he started a week later then other kids but it worked out perfect because Chuck was home for his first day of going to school...Odin cried and tried to run out with us and they closed the door...when we got there to pick him up we found out he cried pretty much the whole time...then the second day he cried less...he is still crying when I leave him but it is less and less...
he goes for 2 hours on Monday's and Wednesday's...and now I don't have to get out of my car and take him in I can just pull up and drop him off and there are aides to help him into his class...I will do that for the first time on Wednesday and I think it might make it easier for him...I hope it will at least but if it doesn't then I will walk him in...
either way the crying time is getting less and now he gets to get out of the house and play with kids his own age for 2 hours twice a week...
I am so grateful that Jane thought to call me...this will be a GREAT experience for the little man and it will probably be a good experience for me too since I am completely paranoid about letting my kids out of my sight...I will grow from this also...

18 WEEKS

Sweet Potato-Sweet Potato

Your fetus has become amazingly mobile (at least compared to you), passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing. And, baby's finally big enough that you'll be able to feel those movements soon.

I am not sure if what I feel is the baby or gas bubbles or hungry growling empty belly movements...I know it is my third and you would think I would know by now but I am never for sure until I can feel that baby for sure kicking me...the light movements I am never sure about...and plus my kids like to do things a little later then normal as you could tell by hearing the heart beat...I can't wait till everyone can feel this little one moving...I am curious to see what Odin and Cort think about it...everything is moving right along and I am hanging in there...

When we stayed in Las Vegas at the J.W. Marriott...it was such a nice suite...
you opened the door and there was a hallway and to your immediate right was a bathroom and also a little farther down the hall was the fridge and coffee stuff and water and sink...

then you walk through the entry way and you are in the bedroom/front room kind of place...they had a big "L" shaped couch and a table and desk and in the middle of the room is the BIG T.V. Armour and you could open it on both sides and turn the T.V. either to face the couch or face your bed...
then the bathroom was HUGE and had a toilet and a bidet....then a BIG shower and a BIG tub and a BIG closet with nice comfy robes...
and there were also balcony doors that you could open and look out over the garden walk ways...
it was the coolest room...I wanted to stay there forever...

Having a Bidet in our bathroom I got to thinking...I am not really sure how this thing works and NO I did not try to figure it out either but I did get to thinking of all the things my kids would use it for...

Maybe they would think it was their own personal drinking fountain???

Or Maybe they would think it was a sink just their size for after they go potty on the toilet??

There are so many things my crazy boys would have done with this Bidet but good thing they weren't there and the more I talked about the stuff they would have done the more grossed out Chuck got...he didn't even want to take pictures of me with it and I thought it was hilarious...I was thinking like the inner child I am...

ENJOY!!!!

I wanted to post a couple of funny things I want to remember from Christinas Wedding...
There were a lot of memorable moments and we got to know Devin and Christina from other peoples prospective and hear some fun stories from their friends and family...if any Family or Friends had something they wanted to share they would stand up and share a funny moment or embarrassing moment from knowing Devin and Christina...it was kind of like a roast...but these two things that I found pretty funny are not things that were shared with everyone but they were so funny to me I want to remember them...

1. Christina informed us all before the wedding that it would be casual wear but nice casual...so I thought I would just wear what I would wear to church on Sunday and then we would buy Chuck a polo short or something to wear with his jeans...so Chuck went shopping himself when he was in Salt Lake at work and sent me a picture of the shirt and I said it looked fine and so did his sister Christina...so at the wedding some how our clothes got brought up and Chuck, Gary and Bobby compared their shirts...not compared in style but compared in price...Chuck bought his at Wal-Mart for 5 dollars and Gary bought his at a Thrift Store for I think he said 3 dollars and Bobby bought his at a Thrift Store for 1 dollar...they were so proud of themselves for finding nice shirts for such a cheap price...and watching them compare was hilarious...

2. This was the first time Heathers Boyfriend Jerry was meeting the family and so we were sitting at the table talking and he asked the brothers what their age order was and Gary was so quick to respond and he said "Well you can tell our age order by the amount of hair we have...you see Chuck is the oldest cause he has the least amount of hair, then it goes me and then it goes Bobby because he has the most hair." I started laughing so hard because it is so true and Gary was so quick to say it...I laughed and still laugh every time I think of him saying that...

Devin and Christina Luzod Wedding

Chucks Sister Christina got married last weekend in Las Vegas and Chuck was able to come home so we could attend her wedding together...
It was such a fun wedding...Christina and Devin have been dating for a long time and moved in together a little while ago...neither of them wanted to get married but we all knew they would be Together Forever...but Devin changed his mind and decided he wanted to put a ring on that finger...so we couldn't be more happy for them...they are perfect for each other and love each other so very much...
They decided to make it a small intimate
gathering and also decided no kids allowed...they wanted it to be a Husband and Wife event instead of a Mommy and Daddy event...so why not take advantage and leave the kids at my Moms and make it a weekend for Chuck and I...
We got a killer deal on a WAY nice Hotel in Las Vegas-J.W. Marriott....and we left the kids with my Mom and Dad on Saturday
and took off to Las Vegas...and we came back home on Sunday...so it was a really quick trip but so much fun...

This is where I spent most of my day on Saturday...My poor hubby is not a sun or water person at all...he is in the sun for a minute and gets burnt...got to love being a red head...and he doesn't like water unless he has his boys to throw around...so he lounged in our nice Suite-that is
right they even upgraded us to a Suite-and I lounged by the pool...it was so much fun...

Then later that night was Christina and Devin
s Wedding...they celebrated at their favorite French Restaurant and served a 3 course meal and lots of wine and champagne...Chuck and I had neither but it was fun to watch the other people drink it up...and it was just a nice small gathering of those who love Christina and Devin and were so happy to celebrate with them...I didn't take my camera in because I thought it would be in the way and that was dumb of me but I stole these pictures from other family members who took their cameras...

(The beautiful Bride Christin

and the Front Bottom are the Proud Parents of this Crazy Bunch-Chuck and April Taylor.

Gary had done this crazy tongue picture and so then he wanted one of all of the siblings doing a crazy tongue picture...so this is what we got...they all crack me up...

17 WEEKS

Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. The umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes are now topped by one-of-a-kind prints.

1. This week my baby is an Onion...or wait the size of an onion...Maybe that is why the heartburn has flared back up...it went down for a little while there and I thought "oh maybe it will go away"...Nope thought wrong...it has came back in full force...YEAH!!!!

2. Yes still sick but again hanging in there...

3. I feel like I am showing but most people probably look at me and are thinking "is she putting on some weight?"

other then those few things I can't think of much else that has changed...sorry maybe more next week...
