A New Me

So last night-when I couldn't sleep-I got to thinking about life and more specifically my life...
I have decided to change a few things about my self...I have always been the people pleaser type of personality...never really sticking up for myself or for what I believe or feel...so I have decided to change that about myself...
A few different things have brought on the feeling of needing to change that type of personality...
One thing is that this life is too short to not live it to the fullest...and I have always worried about if people like me or not...and I came to the decision that if they don't well then that is their lose not mine...People need to like me for who I am and not because I am always trying to please them...so the new attitude is if you don't like me then don't be around me...
I have also made that decision because I don't want my boys to have that personality trait...I want them to be who they are and love themselves for who they are...I want them to be able to speak their minds freely and not worry about what others think of them...and the only way I can teach them that is to live that way...I also feel that because of my personality trait of being a people pleaser that I have just let things pass by that have hurt my family in order to keep peace and I am done with that...it kills me to see any of my boys hurt (Chuck, Odin, and Cort)...I feel I need to protect them...Yeah Chuck is a big boy and can protect himself but some things he can't protect himself from and I have seen the hurt in his eyes and seen his heart break and I have had to pick those pieces up and it is not fun...it makes me angry to see him hurt and to have his heart hurt...he says he has grown used to certain things (which is sad) but I know him and I know the look on his face and he is just trying to put up a good front...So for me "The gloves are off"-as my wise Aunt Hope would put it...no more People Pleaser...I am going to say what is on my mind and I am going to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to protect my boys (All 3 of them) from getting hurt in any way...I know somethings will slip through and still hurt them but I will be here to tell them the truth and to give them lots of love and show them what a FAMILY is all about...
I love you Chuck, Odin and Cort...You guys are my world and I will be here for you
ALWAYS and ALWAYS

Odin Taking More Photos...

Whenever I try to take pictures of anything Odin has to have the camera to take his own pictures...I really need to get him his own camera that is kid friendly...maybe for Christmas...so here are some more pictures he took...some of them aren't too bad...

Cort Laughing

Aunt Brookie and Chuck were able to get a good laugh out of Cort...of course when we start the try and get it on camera he stops doing the really good laugh but here are a couple of videos...

My Boys...

Cort and I...it seems the only way I can get pictures of me with my boys is if I take them myself...and then you always have a double chin...or in my case a triple chin...but whatever...who cares...

I had Odin's shirt on my head...and was trying to make him laugh because he was mad that I wouldn't give him the camera...it didn't work too well but I tried...

My boys playing with the basketball hoop in their room...until Odin takes it away...whatever...

And of course bath time...bath time has gotten a little hard these days...Cort is too big for the baby bath-he makes a royal mess when in it-but he can't sit up by himself very good yet...and I can't start a bath with out Odin getting in...so we have to be pretty tricky...at least they love their bath time...can't complain about that...

Heres to the Green Bucket

So when I worked out in Santa Clara at Vintage Gardens...I had Odin at work with me and I would take pictures of him there all the time...one of them was in this Green Bucket (Bowl) and then when my boss closed up shop I bought it and we keep toys in it now but I decided it will be something I take pictures of all my kids in...and they have the same shirt on...it is such a fun bucket and I loved all the stuff my boss had at her store...I left there with a lot of creative ideas and a lot of memories...Thanks Joi...

So here is the comparison picture...

And then here is a picture of Odin then and Now...he wanted pictures in the bucket like brother and why tell him "No"...

And then here are both the boys in the picture...I promise Odin asked to hold his brother...it may not look like it in the pictures but he did ask...

And then here are all the pictures of Cort in the bucket...my boys are such good sports when I torture them...hee hee....don't know how long that will last...

Do we look alike?

Here are some more comparison pictures...

I took some pictures of me as a baby and tried to compare them to my boys...what do you think?...are they my kids?...I don't have any pictures of Chuck as a baby-Maybe someday I will get some and can compare them...

And here are some more of Odin and Cort...it is so funny to see them around the same age...Hope you Enjoy!!!

Odin Charles Taylor

Odin is such a funny little man...he makes me laugh on a daily basis and he is so refreshing...yes he does have his moments of breakdowns but if you can make it through those moments the rest are always worth it....I sure love him....

This is him giving me some big kisses...I love his BIG KISSES!!!!
And who couldn't love this face...he is such a ham...
And we always LOVE his "Cheese" face...he doesn't get that from me...hee hee....
This is what happens when he is just soooo tired...he CRASHES!!!!!

Just some Random pictures of Odin...he is such a little stud muffin....
He wanted to wear his Dad's boots...he could barely walk in them but he loved it anyway...
Here are a couple of videos of Odin getting some Anger Management...Chuck pulled out the boxing gloves that him and his brothers used as kids and him and Odin went at it...it was pretty entertaining...until we had to put them away...

Stetson Cort Taylor

This little man loves bath time...both of my boys love the water and I don't mind...it also makes them really tired so they go to bed pretty easy...YEAH!!!

Me and Stetson Cort...
Trying to practice sitting up...he does pretty good except that he can't hold still-so as soon as those legs start kicking then he starts tipping...
Some belly time...and he is mad at me because I am taking pictures of him crying instead of picking him up...such a ruff life he lives....

Stetson Cort in the "Green Bucket"...I took pictures of Odin in this bucket when he was a baby (comparison pictures coming up in another blog)...so now it was Cort's turn...
Stetson Cort really wants to eat what everyone else is eating...if you are holding him and eating, he grabs at whatever is in your hands or mouth...I don't normally let my kids eat anything until they are 6 months old...but he is almost there and he got a hold of my moms Fruit Popsicle...I guess a Fruit Popsicle is better then some foods we eat...he loved that thing and whenever my mom would take it away to have a bite he would grunt at her and reach for it...we were all laughing pretty hard...

Random...

Here are some of the Random pictures from our Salt Lake Trip...these were pictures on my sister and moms cameras....couldn't help but post a few of them...

Eating a Banana...he loves him some "Aananas"....

Odin looking at some animals at the Zoo....
All of us getting ready to watch the Elephant Show at the Zoo...it was way fun to see them...
I think Odin was trying to show Grandma his fish in his mouth...such a nice boy to show what he is eating...hee hee....
Odin was climbing all over Grandma and Grandpa during the Elephant show...such patient Grandparents...
Odin went into the Bird Show with my mom and the rest of the family...Chuck and I stayed out with the baby and the stroller...it was Odins favorite part...he would tell you how the birds flew over his head...it was pretty funny...
Riding in the wagon...Taken a break from walking...he is in it with Cambelle....
Almost all of the kids in Strollers or Wagons..we had quite the crew....
Eating some dinner at the Motel...it was yummy Hogie Sandwiches...I love Sandwiches...
Odin taking a Nap with his Papa...don't you just love the butt up in the air...that is how he sleeps most of the time...
