If Only....

Poor little Stetson Cort....
If Only he could just crawl
and better yet
If Only he could just walk...

No I am not the one saying this...he is growing way too fast for me but I think that these two thoughts are going through that little head of his...
I think he wishes he could just move around how ever and wherever he pleases...
but my oh my I am in for some trouble when that day comes so I am just going to enjoy this dependence as long as I can...

Enjoy the videos...

NO FEAR

My son Odin has NO FEAR...it has always been this way...he is not afraid of heights and he is not afraid of being in something and having that something closed on him...not claustrophobic at all...which is really scary...we have to keep a good eye on this little terror since nothing terrors him...

it all started at a young age and it started out with the obsession of climbing and always climbing higher and higher...no matter how we moved stuff-so he couldn't climb-he would just move what he could find and build what ever he could to be able to climb...
can't blame him for being creative...

A bicycle seat is not for your butt but for your feet so you can stand on it and climb higher...what a goof...This picture was taken 06-03-2008 (he was just over a year old)

it then progressed into climbing through things...he figured if his head could fit through something then by darn he would make the rest of his body fit through...
again can't blame him for being creative and determined....

This time his head did fit through but the rest of his body didn't...when he started crying because he was stuck-like a good mom that I am I got the camera and took pictures before helping him out...I then moved the basket of shoes over a little because Odin-being the stubborn child that he is-would not give up until he made it through...so I made it a little easier....

And I am sure you remember the dogie door at Grandparent Memmotts...Odin thinks if his head fits through something then the rest of his body will...he still climbs through the dogie door and he is 2 and half years old...

and now it has progressed into climbing in things with doors and closing himself in...
so yet again can't blame him for being creative, determined and having NO FEAR....

This photo he had to be in the toy box to play with his toys...at least this time he couldn't close the lid of the container...photo taken 06-24-2008...
These two pictures were taken at my moms house...my sister Brooke was going through her stuff in the garage and cleaning up and she emptied this container and of course Odin had to climb in and close the lid...he is such a goof ball...And who can forget the mailboxes...again he will stay in these mailboxes for almost an hour...I have to bribe him to get him out and to come home...and he does close the door of the mailboxes too...

This video below is the latest of Odin's "NO FEAR"...
He was at Nana's house (my mom's) and went into the garage with her and decided to climb in her freezer...which was fine until he decided he wanted the door closed...so Nana told him "NO"
I promise we do tell him No!
and he did not like that at all...so my sister grabbed her phone and took this video of him tattling on Nana telling him No and why he got told No and when he tried to close the door again to show Aunt Brookie why Nana said No Aunt Brookie told him No...and again the crying started...

This video was at my moms house also...Chuck was out of town and so we spent the weekend at my moms house...This is in her bedroom and she has their t.v. on top and then in the cupboards are clothes and blankets...so Odin decided he would climb in the bottom cupboard of her t.v. stand...on the bottom shelf is a basket of socks...so when Odin would climb in and try to pull his side of the door closed the basket would push the other door open...so he would climb out-push the basket back in-close that door-then climb back in and try to close his door...but the basket and him could not both fit in and have both doors closed...he wouldn't give up...so the process went on over and over again for about 30 minutes...my mom and I were laughing so hard and trying to be quiet and it was hilarious...such a stubborn boy and again
NO FEAR!!!!

Happy Birthday Husband of Mine

Today was my wonderful husbands birthday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK!!!!
he turned 28...he even took a day off wor
k and just hung out at home with us...and then he made his own birthday dinner...he really wanted steaks so I said okie dokie and he bar-b-qued them up...I did make him breakfast though...I made Biscuits and Gravy... My husband is such a good man and I am so lucky to have him in my life...he is funny (even though he pretends not to be) and he is such a good Dad and sets such a good example for his boys...I am really really lucky to have him in our lives...He is also a Very Very hard worker and sacrifices a lot to provide for his family...We love any time we get to spend with him... He really likes the Simpsons so when I saw one of those singing cards that was a Simpsons one I couldn't resist...and again since the boys don't really understand Birthdays I had Odin put his hand prints on the card and I put Cort's foot prints on the card (he wouldn't unclench his fist)...so here are some pictures and I recorded what the card says inside because it is pretty funny...Chuck really liked it...We got a good smile out of him...

Comparison Pictures

Here are some more comparison pictures of Odin and Cort...they are always fun to go back and see...
ENJOY!!!

Birthday Card for Brooklyn

Since Odin doesn't know how to sing Happy Birthday or fully understand what that all means I had the idea to have both the boys hold a paper that said "Happy Birthday Brooklyn" and "We Love You"...it was a good idea until I sat them down to take the picture of them holding the signs...
I knew Cort would just try to eat the paper but I couldn't get Odin to hold still and smile while holding the paper...that is just too much for a two year old to do at one time...but we did get a couple of OK pictures and we put them in the Birthday Card to their cousin Brooklyn...

ZZZZZZZZ...

We couldn't help but take a picture of Cort taking a nap on our bed...

Yes there is a Baby in that sheet...we tried to pull it back down a couple of times and he would grab the sheet in his fist and pull it back over his face...so we just kept a close eye on him and as soon as we heard him wake up we came and got him that way he didn't roll up in it...he is such a funny kid...I remember Odin always had to have his face covered by something...such silly boys...

Weather Changing

Well since it has been getting a little cooler
(if you count being in the 90's cooler)

we have been taking Odin and Cort
outside after naps (around 4 or 5 at night) to play...We bought Odin a Soccer Ball and one of our neighbors sees us out on the grass and brings out a Frisbee and a toy Train to play with...Odin and Cort love being outside and we like Odin to get a little energy release and not want to watch Cartoons all the time...The next goal is to get a double stroller so I can start going for walks with them...we want to show them by example that exercise is good...

And of course they love
BATH TIME!!!

I am going to have to start putting them in the b
ig bath together or do baths separate because Cort tries to get out of the little bath and he splashes all over the place and we all end up as wet as him...
Cort loves seeing himself in the mirror an
d he loves when Odin talks to him...
They are just dang cute boys...
I am very bless
ed!!!

Brooklyn's 5th Birthday

This photo was taken when they were all down for the boys Birthday (Odin and Leland) and for Stetson Cort's Blessing Day

Today was my Nieces 5th Birthday-
Brooklyn
...
I can not believe she is 5 already...where does time go...she is the first grandchild on my side of the family and the only girl (granddaughter) on our side...she has to put up with a lot of boys...I still remember when she was born and how excited we all were to have a Grandchild, Niece, and Daughter in our Family...she is just a funny little thing-at least to me she is maybe not so much to her parents (she is a handful)...she has such spunk and imagination...I love to hear the new things she comes up with in that little mind of hers...she is such a good example to her brother and to her cousins (my kids)...I can't wait till we get to see her again...it is hard to have her living in Kingman, AZ...we love her and her parents and brother so much and love every chance we get to see them...

Brooklyn I want you to know that I love you so MUCH and I am so glad to have you as my niece...I also want you to know that you have the Best Parents ever and you may not understand that yet but I will always remind you of how much they love and adore you and how happy they were to have you come into their lives...I think you will always be such a GREAT example to your brother and your cousins...I love your little personality and I hope you are always as funny and imaginative as you are now...I miss you all the time...and I LOVE YOU....

Happy 5th Birthday!!!!This is one of my favorite pictures of her...we have so many of her since she was the first in the family so it is hard to narrow it down to a favorite but this is definitely one...Love you Brooklyn!

Stetson Cort Rolling Over....

This is what Cort has been learning...his newest trick...he rolls over from his back to his front...yes that is backwards from what normal kids do but I guess my kids are not normal...Cort likes to make things complicated....he will roll to his tummy and then get mad because he is on his belly and doesn't like it so I flip him back over and he immediately rolls back on his belly and gets mad...it is all pretty funny...I can't wait till he can roll him self back over so I don't have to help him to stop crying...
ENJOY THE VIDEO!!!!
